Why did you choose the Whitsundays: We wanted to escape to the most beautiful sea barefoot, to create a unique story that represented our true love and passion for the nature of the ocean and the heart of our love. Drawing on that simple and honest atmosphere, Whitsundays was a place where we could create a personal and intimate day that was a true representation of our love and compassion for each over.

Had you visited the Whitsundays before: We have never been to the Whitsundays, and I am forever grateful we had the opportunity to experience such a peaceful place.

How long did you stay in the Whitsundays and did you do any pre or post activities whilst here: The Whitsundays was a week of relaxation and adventure. We celebrated the special event, with a sunset cruise and champagne. Followed by sea kayaking and an indulging rejuvenating full body exfoliation.

Did your wedding have a theme or a particular style? Please give details if possible: We wanted a romance inspired day with a touch of classic bohemian. Our color theme was based on earthy natural colours, with the classic rustic vibes and yet elegant undertones.

What’s your best advice for other brides / grooms: The heart of your marriage is your true love and that needs to be your focus. Your wedding day is one day of your life to have the best experience you will always remember. Have a story that will celebrate creativity, friendship and love.

What was the best thing about having a destination wedding: Being very relaxed and focusing on having a simply good time, filled with warmth, love, joy and an informal wedding in order to shift the focus from the formalities of a traditional wedding to a big celebration of our love.

Did you have a honeymoon? If so where did you go: Our Honeymoon was in our own backyard, We are wanders at mind, so we travelled to the most tropical locations in QLD, we were able to portray all the things we love about the outdoors and turn it into an amazing road trip.

Anything else you’d like to say about your special day: It was so pure and romantic, to create the beginning of our life journey with sandy toes and a blue sky and complete the evening with a beautiful sunset, relaxed vibes and true happiness. Thanks to Total Weddings, they brought our special day to life, and an abundance of magical moments were captured as we made ever lasting memories of true happiness celebrating our marriage.
